You’ve probably heard about the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which could cause a 9.0 earthquake off the Oregon coast, but did you know that Oregon and Washington are at risk for smaller quakes as well? University of Portland professor emeritus Bob Butler wants Pacific Northwest residents to know that a localized quake registering 6.5 to 7.0 on the Richter scale could also be devastating.
