Oregon’s new low-carbon fuel standard is once again center of fight in Salem

GOP wants to water down the program under which traditional fuel companies will subsidize carbon-reduction efforts

It’s starting to feel like Groundhog Day in the Capitol.

A fight over Oregon’s ­controversial low-­carbon fuel standard, or “clean fuels,” once again is endangering a massive transportation infrastructure tax and spending package that lawmakers from both parties want to pass this year.
