Schools budget goes to Ways and Means

An $8.2 billion K-12 budget has made it out of the Education Subcommittee and is now being considered by Joint Ways and Means Committee of the Oregon Legislature. It almost didn’t pass.

Oregon State Rep. Greg Barreto (R-Cove) says both Republicans on the panel voted to oppose the bill, and one Democrat was also going to vote no.
