As an agricultural leader, Oregon is already home to nearly 16,000 jobs supported by biofuel production.

With all the hype surrounding the oil boom, it’s tempting to pretend that America is on a glide path toward energy independence.

Unfortunately, even as fracking reached new heights, America’s total domestic crude oil production declined in 2016.
