Bus tax bill goes to governor

Senate approves plan to allow COIC to ask voters for future funds.

The operator of Bend’s bus service could ask for voter approval of property taxes to pay for service under legislation sent Tuesday to Gov. Kate. Brown.

House Bill 2745 made its last legislative stop, passing in the Senate on a 27-8 vote, with no floor debate. The House passed the bill on a 53-7 vote May 29.
