In the remaining days of this year’s legislative session, lawmakers are unlikely to find the magic bullet that will send money pouring into the state’s coffers, instantly shrinking public school class sizes, funding the career and technical education classes that voters approved and sending high school graduation rates soaring.

Anybody who believed this was going to happen also believes in unicorns, leprechauns and fairy dust.
