Detroit Reservoir algae alert ended by Oregon health officials

The Oregon Health Authority has lifted a blue-green algae alert on Detroit Reservoir, which is again safe for swimming and fishing.

Health officials said while algae levels have fallen below danger levels to humans, they’re still above the lower cautions for pets and advised campers and boaters to keep dogs away from the water.
