Lawmakers have chance to keep Oregonians from suffering travel burdens

Passing Senate Bill 374 will show good-faith effort on state’s part to comply with federal anti-terrorism law.

This week, the Oregon Legislature appeared to give up its game of chicken with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration and we’re relieved.

Lawmakers returned Senate Bill 374 to the Senate floor last week, and in doing so, hopefully bought the state a little more time to ensure Oregonians won’t be hassled trying to get on a plane or into a federal office building.
