As I See It: Buffett’s bad argument for a good idea — Guest Opinion

Warren Buffett recently complained that “medical costs are the tapeworm of American economic competitiveness.” Since 1960 health care costs have increased from 5 percent of GDP to 17 percent. This, he said, means that American businesses are handicapped in world markets because they are paying far more for health care than their competitors in other countries.
