Potentially harmful bacteria found in Tenmile Lake

A health advisory was issued for South Tenmile Lake Monday after a blue-green algae bloom was found in the Coleman arm portion of the lake.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality collected samples Tuesday to see if toxins are present in the bloom.

Rebecca Hillwig, natural resource specialist with Oregon Health Authority, said they’re hoping to have results by Friday.
