Several bills aimed at tackling the opioid epidemic have been introduced in the state Legislature this session, but they’ve been waging a mostly uphill battle.

House Bill 2645, which would require manufacturers of prescription drugs to implement drug take-back programs, has been stuck in committee despite strong support from around Oregon — including Lane County.
