Motorized vehicle trails in the Ochoco National Forest draw criticism

Approval of new trails concern environmental groups.

After years of preparation, the Ochoco National Forest approved a controversial plan to implement nearly 140 miles of trails for off-highway motorized vehicles over the next few years.

However, several prominent environmental and hunting organizations are upset with the decision, citing damage to the habitats of various species, from elk to redband trout.
