OSU lands $122M for research ship 

Oregon State University is poised to launch the construction of a next-generation maritime research vessel with $122 million in funding from the National Science Foundation, the university announced on Thursday. It is the largest grant in OSU history.

The 193-foot ship represents a new class of oceangoing laboratory designed under OSU supervision for the U.S. Academic Research Fleet.
