Oregon’s top 20 crime-free cities ranked, according to FBI data

We ranked Oregon’s cities with the least amount of crime according to data collected from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program in 2014 and 2015. The list includes cities with 20,000 people or more in Oregon. Each city is rated using a “crime score” created by adding 20 percent of the property crimes per 100,000 residents and 80 percent of the violent crimes per 100,000 residents. Violent crime was given greater weight due to it being a greater public concern.
