Zinke should leave Cascade-Siskiyou protections in place: Editorial

Scientists from a variety of disciplines have pushed since 2015 to extend the boundaries of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument in hopes of protecting a variety of rare species of plants, animals, butterflies and fish increasingly threatened by climate change and development. Their proposed boundary followed watersheds, mountain ridges and tree lines, creating a land bridge joining the Cascade, Klamath and Siskiyou ranges.
