A wildfire burning near Prospect has reached 600 acres and is continuing to grow, prompting Gov. Kate Brown to declare it a conflagration in order to marshal more resources to fight it.
Exacerbated by winds, dry conditions and lighting, the Flounce fire, sparked Monday about two miles from Lost Creek Lake, reached 600 acres acres Tuesday evening, according to the Oregon Department of Forestry. (Corrected online: see below)
