“Fair, honest elections”: Republicans ask Kate Brown to veto one-time election changes

Three Republican lawmakers who want to refer much of Oregon’s $550 million health care tax to voters are asking Gov. Kate Brown to stop several one-time election changes from becoming law.

They called on Brown this week to line-item veto sections of a bill lawmakers passed primarily to force a special election in January, not later in the year, if the tax in fact gets put to voters.
