Unemployment rates rise, but no cause for alarm

Unemployment rates in the mid-Willamette Valley climbed slightly in July for the second straight month, according to data released by the Oregon Employment Department on Tuesday.

But Patrick O’Connor, state regional economist, said there’s still no need to worry.
