Oregon’s public university leaders: DeVos Title IX guidelines will have ‘very little’ effect here

Oregon’s public university presidents say any new guidelines from U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos on how campuses should handle sexual assault and harassment cases would likely have “very little, if any” effect on their operations.

“We remain as committed as ever to the goal of minimizing sexual violence and harassment,” the presidents of the seven four-year universities and Oregon Health & Science University said in a letter dated Tuesday to Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum.
