Oregonians who use the internet — which is practically all of us in one way or another — won in federal court even though the nation lost.

A federal appeals court ruled that states and local governments could stop internet providers from favoring one service or app over another. However, the Federal Communications Commission does not have to do so on a national level, according to the court.
