The chairman of the Lane County Board of Commissioners is condemning actions taken by law enforcement in the killing of a juvenile bobcat found at a Eugene school last week.
“I think the response by the government to a report of a bobcat kitten being in a school was inappropriate,” Board Chairman Pete Sorenson said. “Was this really a 911 call? Why were so many officers sent to the scene? Why was the kitten apparently killed in such a violent manner? Who is responsible for making sure this doesn’t happen again?”
