Fewer Oregon graduates are going to college. These seniors face big decisions

Eight weeks before his high school graduation, Parkrose High senior Ginofa Shirai is still not sure what’s next.

College sounds good, probably Portland State, though he considered Eastern Washington University near Spokane, where he has cousins.

But whether he’ll make it there, the first of his mother’s four sons to go to college, is an open question.
