Gov. Kotek officially proclaims June as Pride Month in Oregon, encourages observance

Today, Governor Tina Kotek issued an official proclamation declaring the month of June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Oregon, and encouraged Oregonians to observe and celebrate.

Kotek herself identifies as a lesbian, and married her wife Aimee in 2017.

Portland, Oregon has been a major site for Pride celebrations for years, including Pride parades, bicycle rides, a TriMet LGBTQ+ Pride bus, an entire Portland Pride Waterfront Festival, and more.
