Oregon wants to drop standardized tests for 1 year due to coronavirus closures

Oregon’s public school students may not be taking standardized tests this year, as is also the case for most of the nation’s pupils.

On Friday, President Trump announced the U.S. Department of Education will waive federal testing and reporting requirements in the wake of mass school closures across the country to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus.
