Four East Portland Democrats vie for appointment to Shemia Fagan’s Senate seat

A state representative, a community organizer, a nurse and a Democratic Party of Oregon staffer all want to be appointed to the Oregon Senate to replace Portland area Sen. Shemia Fagan when she leaves office at the end of the year to become secretary of state.

Multnomah and Clackamas county commissioners will ultimately decide which one gets the nod.
