Measles cases confirmed in Clackamas County, prompting public health warning

Oregon health authorities on Monday announced two cases of measles in a Clackamas County household and warned that other people at two Oregon Health & Science University buildings may have been exposed to the highly contagious disease last week.

The person with the first known case — an unvaccinated adult — appears to have contracted the virus in Marion County between May 19 and June 4, health authorities said. The adult then spread measles to an unvaccinated child in the same household.
