Financial strain from PERS in Klamath County could last for decades

Forty-one million dollars.

That’s roughly how much the City of Klamath Falls would have to pay in order to repair and maintain broken, cracked and heavily-used streets in the area over the next few decades.

And with a recently approved budget of $68 million, only about 7 percent is able to go toward street projects in the next year.
