Residents told to evacuate as Mosier wildfire grows in Columbia River Gorge

A wildfire that started between Hood River and The Dalles on Wednesday quickly grew, leading some residents to evacuate their homes for safety.

The Oregon Department of Forestry first reported the fire near Mosier Creek Road late Wednesday afternoon. The department estimated the fire had grown to 500 acres late that night.
