Oregon wants Medicaid contractors to outline investments

The state’s 16 Medicaid contractors reported “higher than normal profits” last year, according to financial results the Oregon Health Authority released Tuesday.

OHA wants the CCOs to outline how they will invest those profits back into communities. Dave Baden, acting OHA director, emailed the CCOs in late June, saying that Gov. Tina Kotek was requesting their “engagement to make sure I and all of OHA are transparently sharing all CCO investments being made in community.”
